We are a non profit making organisation working to educate the general public about Trichotillomania. We are dedicated to giving help, advice and support to those that need it. Many people world wide suffer in silence and believe they are the only ones that pull their hair out. We want to put that right and reach out to the trich community. By raising awareness of the condition we hope to help people shed the shame associated with trich and encourage the medical world to sit up and take notice. We are badly in need of research into this condition and the more people that come forward and add their voice to the trich cause the better our chances are of understanding this complex condition.

Our Staff

Michelle and Martin are the backbone of Trichotillomania Support Scotland. It is their vision, drive and dertermination that has brought this site to life.

Michelle is the driving force behind Trichotillomania Support Scotland. She is a trichster herself and has been pull free since August 2002. Her passions in life are dolphins, Egyptology and fighting the trich cause.

Martin is a dedicated member of the team. Although he does not have trich himself, he is a constant source of strength and support to Michelle and many other trichsters worldwide. His devotion to offering advice to family and friends of Trichsters is unsurpassed. He is a joiner by day and trich campaigner by night. His loves are ice-skating, wood working and his family and friends.

Judith

Judith has been a trichster since the age of six and is committed to enhancing knowledge and understanding of trichotillomania. Her primary concern is to offer support and comfort to those who suffer from compulsive hair-pulling. She works in the higher education sector, thriving on interacting and communicating with people. Judith loves spending time with friends and family, and she never passes up an opportunity to make new friends! Being a committed Christian, alot of her spare time also revolves around church activities. Judith has bravely come to terms with her trichotillomania, comforted in the knowledge that if we all have faith, we can handle all things.
